This HIV Policy Resource Bank category includes materials on HIV-related health care and health insurance issues, including cases, statutes, and regulations that govern the treatment of people with HIV, including health care workers; pleadings and briefs on topics such as denial of care based on HIV status; training materials related to access to health care, insurance coverage, and patient attitudes; and guidance on the implications of health care reform for people with HIV.
The Center for HIV Law and Policy challenges barriers to the rights and health of people affected by HIV through legal advocacy, high-impact policy initiatives, and creation of cross-issue partnerships, networks, and resources. We support movement building that amplifies the power of individuals and communities to mobilize for change that is rooted in racial, gender, and economic justice.
