Part 36 of Title 28 of the Code of Federal Regulations was revised by the Department of Justice in a final rule published September 15, 2010. The final rule, which began to be used March 15, 2011, revised the regulation that implements Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), relating to nondiscrimination on the basis of disability by public accommodations and in commercial facilities.
