The Legal Action Center announces free legal assistance for HIV-positive New Yorkers. The Legal Action Center gives free legal help to eligible HIV-positive New Yorkers on issues including:“Rap Sheet” review & correction, certificates of relief, what to reveal on job applications, workplace rights, living wills & health care proxies, permanency planning for children, HIV discrimination, HIV confidentiality & testing, rights of people in methadone maintenance or other medication assisted treatment. The Legal Action Center (LAC) also offers custom trainings in New York State upon request, to HIV service providers or any social service agency that have clients with HIV/AIDS.
