HIV & STI Criminalization Laws in New York State: How do they affect people of color?

Event Details

This flyer features a green watercolor background with red curved text reading “HIV & STI Criminalization Laws in NYS,” black text providing event details about a keynote on the impact of these laws on people of color, and three logos along the bottom for the African Methodist Episcopal Church, the U.S. People Living with HIV Caucus, and an image of white doves with the phrase “Freedom is a Must.”

CHLP Policy & Advocacy Manager Amir Sadeghi will give the keynote talk at an event on HIV & STI criminalization laws in New York State hosted by the U.S. PLHIV Caucus at the Downtown Baptist Church on August 27 at 12:00pm ET.  All are welcome to attend to learn and engage about the history, national scope, and local impact of laws that criminalize people living with HIV and other stigmatized diseases. Amir will deliver a keynote address and share ways advocates can get involved in efforts to end HIV criminalization in New York and across the country.
