FreeState Justice Pathway to Progress

CHLP Senior PJP Attorney Jada Hicks will be joining FreeState Justice for its annual convening dedicated to advancing health equity, HIV advocacy, and LGBTQ+ community power in Maryland. 

In 2025, Maryland became the fifth state to repeal its HIV criminalization law. That victory was the result of years of coalition building, advocacy, and community organizing. This summit brings together public health leaders, advocates, clinicians, and community members to confront the barriers to equitable health outcomes for LGBTQ+ Marylanders.
