Black South Rising Presents: State of the South Kick-Off - The Reckoning
CHLP Executive Director S. Mandisa Moore-O'Neal joins Black South Rising for this #NBHAAD webinar on the state of Black health in the South.
With the continued attacks on access to care, rising health care, housing and cost of living coupled with the questioning of democracy and who should be a part of our democracy, Black South Rising will have a discussion on the reckoning we must have with many states in the South, along with dreaming of what Black people‘s future will look like in the South. In honor of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, Black South Rising has put together an amazing panel to present on some of the legislative and political attacks on Black people in the South, tie them to the political determinants of health, and discuss ways we can collectively fight for our power to improve our people’s health.
