In comments to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), EPIC, CHLP, PrEP4All, and Patient Privacy Rights urged the agency to reverse plans that would require recipients of free HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) to submit information to a database maintained by HHS.

Suttle v New York, Amicus Brief, NY Court of Appeals, CHLP (2022)

On December 22, 2022, CHLP filed an amicus brief with the Court of Appeals, the highest court in New York State, asking the court to hear the appeal of Robert Suttle, a Black gay man living with HIV.

Letter to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf in Opposition to HB 103, CHLP (2022)

On November 2, 2022, CHLP sent a letter to Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf urgently requesting that he veto HB 103. The legislation creates two new, unnecessary, and broadly applicable felony offenses and subjects people with communicable diseases to harsh penalties.
