Young People's Peace and Justice Conference

The Door's annual youth conference will feature CHLP-led sessions on sexual health care for youth in out-of-home care and HIV criminalization. 

The 2013 Young People's Peace and Justice Conference, The Door's annual youth conference on social justice issues, will feature two sessions on sexual health advocacy this Saturday, July 13, 2013. CHLP's Adrian Guzman will present on sexual health care and sexual health capacity-building for youth in out-of-home care, highlighting the work of Teen SENSE and the Youth Advocacy Corps. He will also discuss the consequences of HIV-specific criminal laws and prosecutions in New York and across the United States. Both presentations will include brainstorming and strategizing sessions on how to engage young people in these issues and how to build and sustain sexual health advocacy campaigns.
