Most of the items in this toolkit focus on HIV prevention in sex work settings. Less information is available on treatment, care and support for sex workers living with HIV. The toolkit aims to provide guidance on the development and implementation of effective HIV interventions in diverse sex work settings: the public health rationale; a strategic framework; key principles; assessment; planning and design; implementation; management; training and capacity-building; monitoring and evaluation. Before inclusion in the toolkit, items were reviewed by a committee of experts in order to determine their quality and relevance. The toolkit is intended as a resource to guide the development and implementation of effective HIV interventions in diverse sex work settings.
The Center for HIV Law and Policy challenges barriers to the rights and health of people affected by HIV through legal advocacy, high-impact policy initiatives, and creation of cross-issue partnerships, networks, and resources. We support movement building that amplifies the power of individuals and communities to mobilize for change that is rooted in racial, gender, and economic justice.
