CHLP Welcomes New Volunteers!

CHLP is happy to welcome two new volunteer attorneys to the organization:

Jeffrey Sallot graduated from Tulane Law School in 2011. Prior to law school, he had a long and active career in health care. As a nurse, Jeffrey coordinated care for sick and disabled veterans at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. From 1995 – 2008 he worked in the pharmaceutical industry. As a Product Manager for Sanofi-Aventis, US, Jeffrey was responsible for managing a patient assistance program. Most recently, Jeffrey served as Editor in Chief of Law & Sexuality, a premier legal journal that is the first and only student-edited law review in the country devoted solely to covering legal issues of interest to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community on a wide variety of subjects, including constitutional, employment, family, health, insurance, and military law.

Eva LaManna graduated from University of Georgia School of Law in 2011. While there, Eva worked at the Poverty Law Clinic, where she provided free legal information at locations including the Salvation Army, Athens-Clarke County Jail, and AIDS Athens. She has also worked in the environmental side of public interest work as an intern with the EPA and by co-chairing a national environmental outreach conference, the 22nd Annual Red Clay Conference, at the UGA School of Law. She is very interested in the research and policy aspects of legal work, and has had a student note published in the Georgia Journal of International and Comparative Law.
